Research

This paper provides the most accurate distribution estimates of all four species to date, including the first analysis of the Hemorrhois algirus distribution in Europe. Citizen science was fundamental to the project and produced a vast number of accurate locality records for all four species and revealed important insights into factors that may be influencing their distributions. The data has also provided the first qualified records of Zamenis situla and Telescopus fallax on Gozo.
